Introduction

Welcome to MathQwik ("the App"), a premium mental arithmetic training mobile application designed and developed by Yash Rayjada under the brand name YBR Digital ("we", "us", or "our"). The App is available for Android (package name com.ybrdigital.mathqwik) and iOS devices.

We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle, collect, use, and safeguard information when you use MathQwik, with a particular focus on our design principles that respect offline play and direct user privacy.

Information We Collect

To provide a tailored experience, MathQwik collects specific types of data directly through user input and through embedded third-party software development kits (SDKs):

  • Local Profile Data: During setup, you may create a local profile including a profile name and a profile picture.
  • Gameplay and Progress: The App logs your mathematical answers, streak counts, daily challenge results, scores, level, achievements, and configuration settings to track your cognitive training progress.
  • Device Information: We may access device-specific parameters such as device models, operating system versions, unique device identifiers, and network connection status.
  • Billing and Purchase Data: When purchasing subscriptions or premium options, transaction logs (specifically purchase identifiers and token hashes) are processed to unlock premium entitlements.

Data We Do NOT Collect

We prioritize local-first data integrity. MathQwik does not run centralized proprietary servers to store your personal info.

  • We do not collect or store your real name, email addresses, password hashes, or social security details on our own developer servers.
  • We do not sell, trade, or rent any personal or gameplay data to third-party brokers.
  • We do not upload your local profile picture or username to our own servers. This data remains completely confined to your physical device.
  • We do not access or store credit cards, billing addresses, or direct banking information.

How Information is Used

The information collected is used solely for the following purposes:

  • To initialize, run, and personalize the math quiz modes, logic number puzzles, and time trials.
  • To store your scores, levels, streaks, and calculate statistics locally.
  • To send local daily training reminders to keep your streak alive.
  • To serve advertisements (in the free tier) and process premium upgrades.
  • To evaluate system stability, troubleshoot crashes, and optimize the game design.

Local Storage

MathQwik stores your gameplay history, statistics, achievements, local profile settings, and application states on your device's internal storage using secure, light, and optimized databases:

  • Hive Database: Storing mental arithmetic progress, streak tracking, daily seeds, and completed puzzle logs offline.
  • SharedPreferences / NSUserDefaults: Used for quick setting toggles, light themes, vibration feedback options, and configuration properties.

Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App will permanently delete this offline data, unless you have backed up your device or signed in via standard platform cloud backup systems.

Permissions Used

To enable core functionalities, MathQwik requests permission to access specific hardware or software utilities on your mobile device:

Platform Permission Purpose & Rationale
Android / iOS Vibrate / Haptic Provides dynamic sensory feedback when answering math queries or completing levels.
Android / iOS Internet / Network Required to download AdMob banners, communicate with RevenueCat for subscription states, and report crashes.
iOS Camera Access Allows you to capture a live photo to set as your offline profile picture.
iOS Photo Library Allows you to browse and choose an existing picture to set as your profile avatar.
Android / iOS Notifications Required to schedule daily alerts reminding you to complete your math brain workout.

Premium Subscription & Billing

  • All premium plans and subscriptions are processed securely through Google Play Billing.
  • Subscription purchases, renewals, cancellations, and payment methods are managed entirely by Google Play.
  • Users can manage or cancel their subscriptions at any time from the Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions.
  • Unless required by applicable law or Google Play policies, all purchases are non-refundable.
  • Refund requests are subject to Google Play's refund policies and are handled solely by Google Play.
  • The app developer does not process payments, store payment information, or issue refunds directly.
  • Premium features remain available only while the subscription is active.
  • If a subscription expires or is canceled, access to premium features will end at the end of the current billing period.
  • Any free trial (if offered) is governed by Google Play Billing terms and automatically converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

For users on our free tier, MathQwik serves mobile advertisements powered by the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK. AdMob may utilize device identifiers, cookies, and network tracking to deliver relevant banner, interstitial, native, or rewarded ads.

You can manage your personalized advertisement preferences directly within your device settings (e.g., via "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android). To review Google's advertising data practices, visit the Google Advertising Privacy Policy.

Analytics (Firebase Analytics)

We utilize Google Firebase Analytics to gather aggregate, non-personally identifiable usage statistics. This includes logging custom events like finishing a puzzle, completing the daily challenge, modifying preferences, or purchasing a subscription.

This information helps us understand user behavior to optimize game balancing, design cleaner interfaces, and debug game flow. You can learn more about how Google handles analytics telemetry by reading the Google Privacy Policy.

Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

To identify bugs, prevent freezes, and guarantee a premium user experience, the App integrates Google Firebase Crashlytics. When a crash occurs, Crashlytics uploads a diagnostics log outlining the system state, exception traces, device type, and custom parameters (such as your current training level, accumulated XP, and premium entitlements).

No personal identity parameters are attached to these reports. You can review Firebase's security guidelines via their Firebase Privacy & Security Docs.

Notifications

MathQwik uses the flutter_local_notifications package to configure daily scheduled notifications. These alerts are calculated and triggered entirely on your local device CPU. The developer does not use remote cloud push messaging servers to tracking your notification schedules or send notifications.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with several third-party APIs to manage billing, analytics, and advertisements. These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their usage of data:

Children's Privacy

While MathQwik is an educational and brain-training application suitable for all age ranges, we do not knowingly collect or request personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will purge the corresponding data from our systems.

Data Security

Your local profile data, levels, and progress are stored securely within your device's isolated app storage sandbox. When transmitting data for billing (RevenueCat) or telemetry (Firebase/AdMob), secure HTTPS sockets with industry-standard TLS encryption are used to prevent unauthorized interception.

User Rights

Depending on your geographic location (e.g., European Union GDPR or California CCPA guidelines), you may possess rights over your data. Because we store your game records and profile information locally on your device, you have full control over your data. You can exercise your rights by:

  • Accessing/Modifying Data: You can edit your username and profile picture at any time in the profile settings sheet.
  • Deleting Data: You can completely erase your local database records by navigating to your device Settings → Apps → MathQwik → Storage → Clear Data. This action permanently deletes your local training history.
  • Opting Out of Tracking: You can disable haptic feedback, tracking settings, and revoke device notification permissions at any time.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to align with software updates or new regulatory requirements. We will post updates by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any modifications.
